Code of Conduct

Sydney Salsa – Code of Conduct
At Sydney Salsa, we are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone, whether you're stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or you've got some experience.

Safety & Comfort Come First
We believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and respected in every class, and social event. Here's what we expect from all our students and community:
No unsolicited advice – Unless someone asks for help, focus on enjoying the dance and let the instructors do the teaching.
Be mindful of hygiene – Fresh clothes, deodorant, and clean hands go a long way on the dance floor.
Use gentle, respectful leading and following – Dancing should feel safe and comfortable for everyone involved.
No harassment or inappropriate behavior – This includes unwelcome comments, touching, or actions — on or off the dance floor.
Respect boundaries – Always ask before dancing, and respect a “no” without pressure or question.

If Something Doesn’t Feel Right — Speak Up
If at any time you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or see something concerning, please speak directly to one of our team members. We're here for you, and we take every concern seriously. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior of any kind. Let’s all do our part to build a dance community where everyone can thrive, connect, and feel truly welcome.

Thank you for helping make Sydney Salsa a place where we lift each other up.
